The challenge
Green Business Consulting has top-tier expertise in ESG advisory and supports clients worldwide. Their knowledge is deep and their impact, consistent.
However, their previous website did not fully reflect that excellence. Although the quality of their work was high, the digital experience was not aligned with their Brand Identity guidelines. The messages, tone, information architecture, and visual expression did not clearly convey the specialization, intellectual rigor, and premium positioning that define GBC.
My approach
I approached this project as a single, integrated challenge of Brand Identity and web development. I understood that both elements were two sides of the same coin: the website did not reflect the true identity or the level of excellence of Green Business Consulting.
The client shared their ideal vision, direct feedback from their clients, and a selection of reference competitors. I conducted a detailed comparative analysis which, combined with those insights, allowed me to build a solid information matrix. This matrix clearly revealed the gaps in both brand positioning and digital experience.
From this strategic diagnosis, I presented a tailored wireframe proposal that aligned information architecture, visual hierarchy, tone of voice, and technical structure. We decided to build a static website to ensure full control, maximum loading speed, and strong technical SEO foundations that would support sustainable organic growth in the future.
I developed the website 100% with clean code (HTML, CSS and JavaScript), without templates or frameworks. Every decision — from the colour palette and typography to content architecture and interactions — was made in perfect alignment with the client's Brand Guidelines and their desired positioning.
I incorporated the GBC Insights section as a cornerstone of the long-term content strategy and organic positioning, reinforcing both brand authority and technical SEO.
The result
The result is a website that coherently addresses both challenges. The brand identity is now expressed with consistency, clarity, and strength in the digital environment, while the technical experience supports and amplifies that positioning.
Visitors immediately understand that they are in front of a specialised ESG firm with intellectual rigour and a distinctive point of view.
Technical Implementation
- Video editing and optimisation: All videos were edited and optimised in Adobe After Effects to ensure quality, controlled file size, and better performance. UX: Smooth animations with progressive enhancement and fully responsive design.
- Advanced SEO: Structured Data (JSON-LD), optimised sitemap, canonical URLs, Open Graph, Twitter Cards, and llms.txt.
- Performance: WebP images, self-hosted WOFF2 fonts, JavaScript of only 28 KB, lazy loading, and extreme optimisations.
- Accessibility and Privacy: WCAG standards compliance + first-party consent system (GDPR compliant).
